Allyson Hayenga Spends Summer Studying Abroad in the Czech Republic

2015 Apr 8

Allyson Hayenga, of Alpharetta, Georgia, spent the summer of 2014 living and learning in the Czech Republic.

Valdosta State University's Center for International Programs offers a rich and diverse Study Abroad Program for students who wish to travel and study overseas. Hayenga was among 14 students who spent three weeks studying Czech and Central European history, politics, economics, culture, and social problems; traveling throughout Europe to Krakow and Auschwitz (Poland), Prague, Vienna, Budapest, and other sites of historic and cultural interest; and building relationships with peers from around the world.

The students were based in Olomouc, a city of more than 110,000 people, the administrative and historic capital of the picturesque Moravian region.
