Virag Dobra Earns Carolyn King Panizzi Memorial Scholarship

2016 Dec 16

Virag Dobra of Gyula, Hungary, has been awarded the Carolyn King Panizzi Memorial Scholarship from the South Georgia Employers Committee to continue his pursuit of a Master of Business Administration at Valdosta State University.

The scholarship honors Carolyn King Panizzi, co-founder of TeamTemps Personnel Staffing Inc. and the person responsible for resurrecting the South Georgia Employers Committee, which is the outreach arm for the Georgia Department of Labor that provides seminars to local employers on a variety of topics, including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and Occupations Safety and Health Act (OSHA).

After Panizzi's passing in 2006, the board of the South Georgia Employers Committee was approached with the idea of providing a scholarship to students studying business at VSU.
