Danielle McKay's "Recycling of Iron Oxide for Photoelectrochemical Cells" earned the Best Poster Award (first place) at the 2021 Herty Medalist Undergraduate Research Symposium organized by the Atlanta section of the American Chemical Society.

An elite group of 40-plus graduate students were nominated by faculty in their various academic disciplines to present at VSU's 2021 Graduate Student Research and Scholarship Symposium, which was held on a virtual platform due to COVID-19. Six of those students earned top awards for their first-class research and scholarship.
