Several students recently returned from a three-week stay in the Czech Republic and Central Europe as part of Valdosta State University's Summer Study Abroad Program. The trip included lectures and seminar discussions on Czech and Central European history, politics, economics, culture, and social problems, with field trips to Krakow and Auschwitz (Poland), Prague, Vienna and Budapest, and other sites of historic and cultural interest. Valdosta State University's chapter of the Golden Key International Honour Society recognized 165 new members during its annual recognition ceremony held Jan. 29 in the Student Union Ballroom.
