Kayla Lane's "Virtual Audiometry in CSD Undergraduate Training" won second place in the undergraduate research student poster competition at the 2016 Georgia Speech-Language-Hearing Association Annual Convention.

Erinika R. Taliaferro will spend three months interning with the United States Air Force Office of the Judge Advocate General (JAG) at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., this summer. The 22-year-old looks forward to helping the office realize its mission to "deliver professional, candid, independent counsel and full spectrum legal capabilities to command and the warfighter."

The Fairburn, Georgia, resident's award-winning design was recently featured in an exhibit at the on-campus Dedo Maranville Fine Arts Gallery.

Bryce France's "Dejection," a 24-inch by 36-inch digital photograph, won a merit award at the 18th annual Juried Student Art Competition sponsored by Valdosta State University's Department of Art. Casey O'Kelley's "Self-Portrait," a 3-foot by 4-foot acrylic on paper and newspaper clippings, won fourth place at the 18th annual Juried Student Art Competition sponsored by Valdosta State University's Department of Art. Elana Harper's "Morpha," a copper box with clay cicada shells, won a merit award at the 18th annual Juried Student Art Competition sponsored by Valdosta State University's Department of Art. Michael LaGon's "They Pee Weird" and "Forms of Deterrence," both 17-inch by 22-inch pen and ink drawings, won second place at the 18th annual Juried Student Art Competition sponsored by Valdosta State University's Department of Art. The award-winning artwork was recently featured in an exhibit at the on-campus Dedo Maranville Fine Arts Gallery.

Caleb Brown's Condemned, an 8-inch by 10-inch gelatin silver print inspired by the concept of restraint, won first place at the 18th annual Juried Student Art Competition sponsored by Valdosta State University's Department of Art. The Valdosta State University Bass Fishing Team's Max Gresham and Cody Cleary have earned the right to compete in the 2017 Fishing League Worldwide (FLW) College National Championship.

Diane Isibor, a junior accounting and finance major at Valdosta State University, has earned the 2015-2016 Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) Memorial Education Fund Scholarship in the amount of $2,500.
